NAVs advance on hopes of possible rate cut by RBI

Equity Mutual funds ended in a green after delivering two day‘s of poor performance. The session ended with BSE gaining 272 points or 1.63% while NSE benchmark was up by 84.30 points to close at 5,139.05.

Equity Mutual funds ended in a green led by positive market rally. All the funds in Equity and Balanced category advanced witnessing no decline. The same trend was followed even by sectoral categories. None of the funds in any category witnessed any decline.


The anticipation of a rate cut and decent performance of European boosted the market. The session ended with BSE gaining 272 points or 1.63% while NSE benchmark was up by 84.30 points to close at 5,139.05.


In the debt front, Long term funds continued with its laggard performance as debt market turned more cautious ahead of RBI policy review. The funds in the Short term space delivered good performance with very few decline.
