Baroda Pioneer Mutual fund appointed Jaideep Bhattacharya as Managing Director of the AMC
Baroda Pioneer Asset Management Company Limited today announced the appointment of Mr. Jaideep Bhattacharya as Managing Director. In this role, Jaideep will lead the continued development of BPAMC and drive its ambitious growth strategy, already confirmed by the shareholders - Bank of Baroda and Pioneer Investments.
Formerly Group President and Chief Marketing Officer at UTI Mutual Fund, Jaideep was part of the core management team, driving the overall sales and marketing strategy for the company. He joined UTI MF in 2006 and was a key member responsible for its growth over the last six years. Prior to UTI, he was with ICICI Bank as Country Head, Products, Channels & Marketing of the SME group.
Mr. M D Mallya, Chairman & Managing Director, Bank of Baroda and a member of the BPAMC board commented, "Baroda Pioneer MF continues to see its assets grow - over the last quarter the business saw a 31.5% increase in AUM, moving up its overall ranking from 25th place to 20th place. With over 20 years of experience, Jaideep has been a leading figure in the industry. A former member of the AMFI board (2007 -2010), SEBI Mutual Fund Advisory Committee (2008-2010), Jaideep has been a key representative of the Indian asset management industry at the Asia Oceania Investment Funds Association Meetings. His proven leadership skills and strategic thinking have resulted in numerous awards and accolades: he was awarded the Marketing Personality of the year for Asia by Asia Asset Management and Youth Icon award in 2010, amongst others.
