NAVs end lower as markets decline

Equity diversified NAVs closed lower with advance:decline ratio of 4:249 as Indian equity benchmarks retreated on Tuesday following a sell-off across the globe, tracking sharp rise in crude oil prices since yesterday due to rising concerns in Libya.

Equity diversified NAVs closed lower with advance:decline ratio of 4:249 as Indian equity benchmarks retreated on Tuesday following a sell-off across the globe, tracking sharp rise in crude oil prices since yesterday due to rising concerns in Libya. 


 


The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 142.15 points to close at 18,296.16 and the 50-share NSE Nifty dropped 49.40 points, to settle at 5,469.20.
 


All sectoral funds declined. However Long and short term debt funds advanced; their advance:decline ratio stood at 83:4 & 113:1, respectively.
