30 Naxalites killed in encounter with security forces along Dantewada border in Chhattisgarh

At least 30 Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security personnel along the Dantewada border in Chhattisgarh on October 4, a senior police official said. According to a report, the bodies of the Naxalites are yet to be identified and officials said that it's likely that the senior cadres were among those killed. A huge cache of weapons, including an AK-47 rifle and one SLR (self-loading rifle) have been recovered from the encounter site. Read here.
