Waaree Energies shares jumped nearly 3 percent on June 5 after the company announced its plans to sell nearly 1.15 percent stake in Indosolar Limited through an offer for sale (OFS) which opens today. The shares of the company were trading at Rs 2,962 apiece in the morning, snapping a four-day losing streak.
Waaree Energies, which is the sole promoter company holding some stake in Indosolar, said that it is proposing to sell 4.76 lakh shares in the company at a face value of Rs 10 apiece. In an exchange filing released in the post market hours of June 4, Waaree further said that it is participating in the OFS for "achieving the public shareholding in the Company" as per SEBI's norms.
The OFS will open today (T Day) for non-retail investors. Retail investors will be able to participate in the OFS on June 6. (T+1 Day). Waaree Energies has appointed Antique Stock Broking Limited as its broker for the transaction.
Waaree Energies, which is the sole promoter owning some stake in Indosolar, held 96.15 percent stake in the company as of March 31 this year. The remaining 3.85 percent stake was held by the public, according to shareholding data available on BSE.
Despite today's rise, Waaree Energies shares have dropped over 3 percent in the past five days. The stock however has risen nearly 9 percent in the past one month, and is up around 3 percent so far in 2025.
