Orient Press rises 18% on MPCB approval to restart manufacturing at Tarapur plant

Shares of Orient Press rose nearly 18 percent intraday Monday after company received Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) approval to restart manufacturing at Tarapur plant.

The company has received a letter from MPCB to restart the manufacturing activities subject to fulfilment of certain terms & conditions as stated in the said letter with respect to effluent treatment conditions.

The company had closed the manufacturing activities of the plant manufacturing flexible packaging with effect from October 23, 2018, after closure order received from Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB).

The company has accordingly restarted its manufacturing activities from 6th November, 2018, midnight onwards.

At 10:40 hrs Orient Press was quoting at Rs 240.85, up Rs 0.55, or 0.23 percent on the BSE.
