A volatile day on D-Street on Tuesday but bulls took control towards the closing of the trade. Factory data also led to some optimism on D-Street.


India’s factory activity expanded at the fastest pace in five years in December. About 1,687 shares declined against 1,152 advancing shares on the BSE.


96 stocks hit fresh 52-week high on the NSE while as many as 258 stocks hit 52-week high on BSE. Market activity seen in the January series points towards more consolidation.
