Elara Capital is hosting a two-day conference titled Elara India Dialogue 2017. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Raj Bhatt, Vice-Chairman & CEO of Elara Capital shared his readings and outlook on the market from the side-lines of the conference.

The conference covers various topics. We had a blip on the gross domestic product (GDP). It might be because of destocking due to goods and services tax (GST), maybe some aftershocks of demonetisation, he said.

India is going through structural changes and there would be some pain which economy will go through while shifting, he added.

On non-performing assets (NPAs), he said that lending has been one of the main reasons that economy is not showing its full potential and hopefully there will be some infusion of capital at some stage.
