Banking index after having declined a bit over the past month, has giving some outperformance signals. The daily moving average convergence/divergence (MACD) has turned positive for the index. All the leading banks both private and public like State Bank of India, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank are showing similar signals to the CNX Bank index and taking one of the behemoths, in SBI, we have a target of around Rs 2,635 with a very tight stoploss of 2 percent below current levels.
