Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) reported a 16% year-on-year increase in cargo volume for August 2025, driven by a significant rise in container traffic.
In August 2025, APSEZ handled a cargo volume of 41.9 MMT, a 16% increase compared to August 2024. This growth was primarily fueled by a 29% year-on-year increase in container volumes.
Year-to-date (YTD) August 2025, APSEZ handled 202.6 MMT of total cargo, reflecting an 11% year-on-year growth, again led by containers with a 22% increase.
Logistics rail volumes also showed positive trends. In August 2025, rail volumes stood at 57,347 TEUs, an 8% increase year-on-year, with GPWIS volume at 1.69 MMT, up by 3%. YTD August 2025, logistics rail volumes reached 297,766 TEUs, a 14% increase year-on-year, and GPWIS volume was at 9.35 MMT, a 3% increase.
