The Central Statistics office said the Indian economy grew at 7.1 percent in 2016-17. The current set of data is updated after taking into account a wider range of numbers including the employment data from the annual survey of India.
The statistics office provisional estimates showed that Gross Value Added (GVA) grew 7.1 percent in 2016-17. It was 6.6% earlier.
