Air conditioning and refrigeration company Voltas' third quarter consolidated profit is seen falling 43 percent year-on-year to Rs 61 crore due to high base in year-ago period, according to analysts polled by CNBC-TV18. It had an exceptional gain worth Rs 234 crore and a onerous contract written off worth Rs 190 crore in Q3FY15.
Revenue may increase 11 percent to Rs 1,058 crore on yearly basis.
Analysts expect 5 percent growth in MEP division on higher execution and better margin growth due to execution of high value projects. They expect 10-15 percent YoY growth in revenue from its unitary cooling products (UCP) segment and 8 percent growth in engineering service business.
Operating profit (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) in Q3 may increase 17 percent to Rs 67 crore and margin may expand 27 basis points to 6.3 percent compared to year-ago period.
Factors to watch out for would be volume growth & market share in the AC segment, ordering environment in the Middle East, provisions for legacy orders and revival of domestic capex cycle & update on air-cooler products.
