Gateway Distriparks' third quarter consolidated profit is seen falling 40 percent year-on-year to Rs 32.7 crore due to higher base in year-ago period and weak operational performance.
The company had highest profit & EBITDA margin in the last 15 quarters.
Revenue during the quarter may increase 0.2 percent to Rs 274.3 crore in quarter ended December 2015 compared to Rs 273.7 crore in year-ago period, according to average of estimates of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18.
Operating profit (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) is likely to fall 22 percent year-on-year to Rs 67.2 crore and margin may shrink 710 basis points to 24.5 percent in quarter gone by.
Rail segment margin may fall due to higher empty running of trains and low volumes. Rail volume may also decline due to loss of Ludhiana JV volumes (effective June 2015) and container freight station volume may be hurt by Chennai rains (Chandra CFS) & muted macro environment.
