Nalco Q3 net profit seen up at Rs 312.5 cr

State-run manufacturer and distributor of aluminum products Nalco is set to announce its results for the quarter ended December 2010. According to CNBC-TV18 estimates, its net profit is expected to go up at Rs 312.5 crore in third quarter as against Rs 224.04 crore in previous quarter.

State-run manufacturer and distributor of aluminum products Nalco is set to announce its results for the quarter ended December 2010. According to CNBC-TV18 estimates, its net profit is expected to go up at Rs 312.5 crore in third quarter as against Rs 224.04 crore in previous quarter.


Revenues are seen going up at Rs 1,621.94 crore from Rs 1,479.15 crore (QoQ). Earning before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) is likely to go up at Rs 471.58 crore in December quarter 2010 as against Rs 347.72 crore in previous quarter.


Expectations


* With sharp increase in LME aluminium prices to USD 2339/tonne (Up 12% QoQ and 17% YoY), revenue growth to be strong


* Expect average metal realizations to grow 8% QoQ to Rs 111804/ton & alumina to rise 15% QoQ to Rs 16876/ton


* Metal sales volume is expected to increase by 1% QoQ to 111400 tons

* Expect marginal decrease in power and fuel costs on per tonne basis; hence EBIDTA margin to rise
