Davos 2018: Eyeing different geographies for expansions, says CP Gurnani

M&A has always been one of their strategy but now they have become more selective, said CP Gurnani, MD & CEO, Tech Mahindra.

CP Gurnani, MD & CEO, Tech Mahindra said the biggest impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence at the World Economic Forum 2018 at Davos that reference of India in most conversations.

Talking about the IT sector, he said with the likelihood of tax reforms in the US, the IT spends will go up and the immigration concerns seem to have moderated as well. All this is good for IT. Moreover, most countries seem to be focused on digital technology. So they are not only talking about artificial intelligence but enhanced intelligence.

He said M&A has always been one of their strategy but now they have become more selective. So, expansion plans continue and would look at spaces like digital technology or geographical expansions into Brazil, Germany, Australia and others.
