Will be able to maintain margins at current levels: Apex Frozen Foods

Consumption of shrimps in India is far lower as compared to western countries, said K Subrahmanya Chowdary, Executive Director, Apex Frozen Foods.

The Apex Frozen Foods stock is locked in upper circuit. The stock has been witnessing strong buying interest ever since it announced its earnings earlier this month.

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, K Subrahmanya Chowdary, Executive Director, Apex Frozen Foods spoke about the latest happenings in his company and sector.

The company is into the processing and manufacturing of frozen shrimps. “We basically sell to international markets,” he said.

The main catalyst with regards to the growth in the business is capacities, which the company has been expanding to do more volumes, because of the increasing demand around the globe, he added.

On margins, he said that, “we believe we will be able to maintain this and take it further.”

He is confident of maintaining this growth and implementing strategies, he further mentioned.
