The Regional Connectivity Scheme is all set to take flight. The Aviation Secretary RN Choubey told CNBC-TV18 that the government is all set to finalise the Regional Air Connectivity Scheme and bring it out by August 20-25. The government has already been meeting states and airlines to discuss plans for the ambitious scheme that will put India's hinterlands on the country's aviation map.The biggest bone of contention among the flight operators was the three-year period of exclusivity to operate on any regional connectivity route, saying it is too less a time to judge if the route is feasible or not. But Choubey says the airlines have now come to a concensus that three years are enough time to figure out if the route is viable or not.Watch video for more.
