Pfizer's production at Goa plant takes a hit

Drug firm Pfizer today said production at its Goa facility has been affected although the conciliation between the workers' union and the management is going on over a charter of demands submitted by the former.

    Drug firm Pfizer on Thursday said production at its Goa facility has been affected although the conciliation between the workers' union and the management is going on over a charter of demands submitted by the former.

    "There is temporary impact on production, for which the company is putting in place contingency measures," the company said.

    The conciliation process between the workers' union and the management is being heard at the state Labour Commissioner's office, Pfizer told BSE.

    "The management hopes to resolve the matter expeditiously," it added.

    Pfizer was trading at Rs 2,160 on BSE in the morning trade, up 0.82 per cent from its previous close.
