Network expansion to help raise capacity by 16%: SpiceJet

With 10 new sectors added to its route, SpiceJet expects to draw passengers during the festive season.

SpiceJet has initiated a major network expansion by introducing six new aircraft, 41 additional flights and 10 new sector across India. This will raise capacity by 16 percent, says Shilpa Bhatia, the airline's Senior VP and Head of Sales and Distribution on CNBC-TV18. The company expects to see higher load factor and occupancy rate during the festival season, she adds. The airline will be flying 291 flights daily and will cater to tier II and tier III cities as well. For entire interview, watch accompanying video.
