LG India eyes 30% growth in 2016

LG India is aiming to clock a revenue growth of 30 percent this year and will focus on new categories like water and air purifiers, a senior company official said.

"The first month (January 2016) was good. It is difficult to predict but we are aiming for 30 percent growth," LG Electronics India Corporate Marketing Head Niladri Datta told PTI in a recent interview.

He said in 2015, growth was below expectations at around 10 percent due to unfavourable market conditions.

Slowdown and currency devaluations were some of the events that hit the white goods industry in 2015.
