Kwality ropes in Akshay Kumar to build strong B2C brand

Dairy giant Kwality Limited has roped in bollywood actor Askhay Kumar as brand ambassador for all their products. Nawal Sharma, president & head business, Kwality Limited, says this would help Kwality successfully transition into a strong B2C -- companies that sell directly to consumers -- brand."We are going through a huge strategic shift from B2B to B2C. For this, we will be launching a series of high quality dairy products with an aim to promote good health," says Sharma. "Akshay Kumar being a fitness icon who inspires people at large to be healthy, will be a perfect brand ambassador for us," he added.The company currently earns 30 percent of its revenues from its B2C business. It aims to enhance the B2C share by launching around 15 value added products in the next 12 to 18 months.Sharma says that Kwality is currently operating at 6 percent margin. He promises that the company will see a huge jump in profitability after the launch of its value added products. He did not disclose any financial details.
