Indian IT story is actually starting, not getting over: Expert

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Krishnakumar Natrajan, Executive Chairman of Mindtree and Sudin Apte, CEO & Research Director at Offshore Insights spoke at length about the latest happenings in IT sector and whether the things are finally on the mend.

I am optimistic in terms of opportunities for technologies going ahead, said Natrajan.

He further said that the fundamentals of IT space seem to be improving.

I am optimistic about the way technology will shape up over next few years, he added.

According to him, Indian IT story is actually starting, not getting over.

He further mentioned that Indian IT industry has the capability to grow in the new technology world.

Deal sizes in the digital space have increased substantially, Natrajan added.

Sudin Apte said that the US looks stable; not substantially improving but not very dull and not going down further and same is for the UK.

Banks, financial services & insurance (BFSI) client conversation shows that there is an interest but there is a tussle between buying from services companies versus buying from pure-play digital and platform companies, he added.
