Satin Creditcare Network has got the approval to go ahead with the housing finance business. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, HP Singh, Founder and MD of the company spoke about the latest happenings in his company and sector.
“We have an outreach in the rural market predominantly so we are looking at housing majorly in the rural segment and going up from there the tier-II and tier-III cities,” he said.
Speaking about starting with home loan business, he added, “Our first loan technically happens in another 5-10 days from now on.”
According to him, housing companies have reported better numbers than microfinance institutions (MFIs) post demonetisation.
On net interest margins (NIMs), he said that he expects them to be better. “NIMs are definitely going to improve,” he further mentioned.
