De-stocking of Tata Tea led to small impact in Nov: Tata Global

Tata Global has made 5-6 launches in the last 15 months. It is working in-line with global trends of health, wellness and premiumisation, Sushant Dash, Regional President India of the company.

Tata Tea maker Tata Global said demonetisation led to some de-stocking in trade in the month of November, said Sushant Dash, Regional President India of the company. But overall, the sales have remained almost unchanged in the months following the cash ban.The company has made 5-6  launches in the last 15 months. It is working in-line with global trends of health, wellness and premiumisation, he said.The company has not started work on the dairy product portfolio but is looking at options on the launch of dairy products.Meanwhile, from the sidelines of the Kotak Conference, Koushik Chatterjee, Group Executive Director at Tata Steel said that the company is working towards getting a strategic partner for its UK and Netherlands business. He says the company is looking at a divestment from its UK speciality business, for which it has completed the definitive agreements.Watch video for more.
