Coffee growers to benefit if 100% FDI is allowed: CCL Prods

According to C Rajendra Prasad, CMD, CCL Products if 100 percent FDI was allowed it would help coffee growers hike production from 2-3 lakh tonnes to 1 million tonnes.

The government is considering allowing foreign direct investment (FDI) in rubber and coffee plantation sectors with an aim to attract more FDI into the country.C Rajendra Prasad, CMD, CCL Products said this could be a huge potential for coffee growers but there has been no discussion in the Coffee Board yet about allowing FDI in coffee plantation yet. According to him, if FDI was allowed it would help coffee growers hike production from 2-3 lakh tonnes to 1 million tonnes.
