Bank of India acquires 49% stake from BSE in BOI Shareholding

State-owned Bank of India today said it has acquired 49 percent stake from BSE Ltd in their joint venture BOI Shareholding Ltd for an undisclosed amount. BOI Shareholding Ltd was established in 1989 as an independent full-fledged clearing house of the exchange with the public lender having 51 percent stake. "Now, with the mutual understanding, Bank of India has purchased the 49 per cent stake of BSE Limited and it has become wholly-owned subsidiary of the bank," Bank of India said in a regulatory filing.
