Suzlon Energy has received order worth Rs 650 crore from Chennai-based Orient Green Power Co for over 100 mega watt of wind power projects.
The order comprises 48 units of its S95 wind turbines, Suzlon Energy said Friday.
"These projects are scheduled to be commissioned progressively by June 2012; with 50.4 mw of capacity coming online in Gujarat by May 2012 and remaining 50.4 mw in Karnataka by June 2012," it said.
Orient Green Power is part of Shriram EPC Group and has over 198 mw of wind energy assets already operational.
Suzlon shares rose following the announcement and were traded at Rs 50.65, up 1.2% on NSE at 9:35 hrs.
