A global manufacturer Cook Medical innovator and distributor of minimally invasive medical device technology for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, has drawn up major expansion plans in India, a top company official said.
"As part of our expansion plans in India, we have decided to set up three brand new offices and warehousing facilities in Mumbai, New Delhi and Chennai through our Indian arm Cook Medical India," Cook Medicals Coutry Director and CEO, R Suresh told reporters.
Cook Medicals is also introducing some new innovative products in heart care and women's health. With the increasing implantation of cardiac rhythm management devices such as pacemakers and implantable cardiac defibrillator''s (ICDs) throughout Asia, the need to extract problematic cardiac leads is also growing, Suresh said.
Lead management products from Cook Medical play a role in this space and may facilitate the minimally-invasive removal of dysfunctional or infected cardiac leads, he said.
The company's women''s health business unit is also playing a critical role in combating diseases affecting mothers during pregnancy.
