Shipping Corp to up Europe freight, stock spikes 6%

State-owned Shipping Corporation of India gained as much as 6.18 percent to touch an intraday high of Rs 60.95 amid large volumes on Tuesday as CNBC-TV18 reported that the company is going to increase Europe freight by USD 300/TEU from February 1.

State-owned Shipping Corporation of India gained as much as 6.18 percent to touch an intraday high of Rs 60.95 amid large volumes on Tuesday as CNBC-TV18 reported that the company is going to increase Europe freight by USD 300/TEU from February 1.
 
At 15:27 hours IST, the stock jumped 3.3 percent to Rs 59.30 on Bombay Stock Exchange.


Trading volumes increased five times to 8,91,501 equity shares as compared to its five day average of 1,79,804 shares. Market capitalisation of the company currently stands at Rs 2,762.19 crore.
