Another round of top-level exits hit Flipkart, the country's largest e-commerce venture on Wednesday with Mukesh Bansal, head of commerce and advertising business and Ankit Nagori chief business officer, stepping down, reports CNBC-TV18.This comes close on the heels of the step-down of Sachin Bansal as the chief executive officer (CEO) to Executive Chairman and the elevation of Binny Bansal as the new CEO."Mukesh Bansal is moving out of his active role to be an advisor to the company," a Flipkart spokesperson said, adding "Ankit Nagori is also moving on to start an entrepreneurial venture in the sports domain."
In an interview to Mint, Mukesh said “we’ve been discussing (my departure) for a while, since October." He added, "I wanted to give Binny some time to come in and settle as the new CEO. We have some great leaders coming in and this was the right time to leave. I really did want to take a break.”
