Shivraj Puri discloses his father as accomplice to police

Accused Shivraj Puri was produced in the Gurgaon court today. The police told the court Shivraj Puri has disclosed his father was an accomplice in the matter. CNBC-TV18's Nayantara Rai reports that Shivraj Puri has been remanded to two more days of police custody, said his counsel. His father Raghuraj Puri's hearing on anticipatory bail has been scheduled for Thursday, the counsel added.

Shivraj's counsel has said that the custody extension was sought since the iPad has still not been recovered.   The police plans to investigate a property in Haridwar. The police will also confront Puri with documents from CAs. Shivraj Puri has disclosed that Rs 50 crore has been invested in Norman Martin. Puri's father Raghuraj Puri is a director in Norman Martin. Police sources say that they have obtained handwriting samples of Raghuraj Puri and will have a handwriting expert determine the role of Raghuraj. Norman Martin is under the police scanner and sources say that the police will also examine the role of other Norman Martin directors and the authenticity of 8 Norman Martin accounts in Citibank. Meanwhile, Citibank has said that they are reaching out to investors
