This new venture, combined with HCCB's existing facilities in Goblej and Sanand, emphasizes the company's strong presence in Gujarat.

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), the bottling unit of Coca-Cola in India, has agreed to invest Rs 3,000 crore in Gujarat. HCCB plans to build a factory to produce juice and aerated beverages in Rajkot, with operations expected to start in 2026, the company said.

This new venture, alongside HCCB's facilities in Goblej and Sanand, is expected to expand the company's workforce in Gujarat to over 1,500 employees. The company has 285 distributors and a network of more than 224,000 retailers in the state, it said.

“It is not only about scaling our business operations but also about deepening our roots in a state that has been a key market and a source of inspiration for innovation. We foresee this project as a catalyst for regional development, bringing in new opportunities for local talent and reinforcing our commitment to Gujarat’s economic and social progress,” said Himanshu Priyadarshi, Chief Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability Officer at HCCB.

This investment is anticipated to establish a significant industrial presence, promoting substantial economic and social development in the area. In response, the Gujarat government has pledged full support to assist HCCB in promptly acquiring all essential permissions, registrations, approvals, and clearances by the state's policies and regulations.

The company witnessed a twofold increase in net profit, reaching Rs 809.32 crore for the fiscal year 2022-2023, as per information obtained from business intelligence platform Tofler. The company, managing 16 factories across India, reported a substantial growth of 41.51 percent in its operational revenue, totaling Rs 12,735.12 crore for the same fiscal year, as indicated in a filing submitted to the Registrar of Companies.
