Deepak Sharma heads Kotak Mahindra Bank's digital initiatives where he drives digital transformation, business model innovation and future ready initiatives of the bank. He is responsible for efficiency, productivity, customer experience and growth of the business through digital intervention across digital channels, lending, payments, investments, insurance, trade & forex, for the Consumer, SME, Private Wealth and Institutional Banking segments. Deepak also leads the Innovation Lab, Design Studio, Fintech partnerships and the Start-up ecosystem participation for the bank. Under his leadership, Kotak has launched several innovative and global first products such as 811, Jifi, Hashtag Banking, Bharat Banking, M-Store, Whatsapp Banking & Kaypay, apart from new initiatives like API & Open Banking, Conversational Banking Bot 'Keya', BYOD Biometric Banking, Cross-border remittances on Blockchain and Robotic Process Automation. Deepak believes in constant innovation and focuses on building business models which are customer centric, value accretive and disruptive. Deepak has worked across various international markets and brings a global perspective to the business. In his previous role, he was responsible for setting up the Bank's highly successful Non Resident Indian (NRI) & International Remittances business. Gargi B. Dasgupta
Director for IBM Research in India and the CTO for IBM India/South Asia. In her role as Director, Gargi is responsible for establishing and executing the technical agenda of IBM's India Research Lab in collaboration with IBM's worldwide research labs and business units. In her role as CTO, Gargi is responsible for representing and communicating IBM's overall technical vision & strategy with key stakeholders across the India/South Asia ecosystem - from developers and start-ups to key clients, analysts, media, and industry experts. Prior to this role Gargi was the Senior Manager at IBM Research-India leading the work in AI for Automation driving both deep technology innovations and real impact into IBM's enterprise solutions. Gargi serves as a strategist for IBM Research, working closely with IBM's Hybrid Cloud business and global services businesses to take innovative solutions to clients across the globe. She helped establish new research directions at the intersection of service science, text analytics, and AI. Gargi has been with IBM since 2004 when she joined as a Research Staff Member. In 2019, Gargi was recognized as one of IBM's Distinguished Engineer for her exemplary technological achievements. Gargi is an ACM Distinguished Speaker and an alumnus of Jadavpur University, Kolkata and University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Jitan S Chandanani
As IBM's Blockchain Leader for India and South Asia, he is responsible for helping clients enable the capability and strengths of blockchain in their current environment to drive business growth and future opportunities. Prior to IBM, he was a Managing Director with KPMG LLP in New York, responsible for building KPMG's Blockchain offerings and alliances with industry players. His role also included working with top-tier clients such as Goldman Sachs, the Santander Group, Deutsche Bank AG, Citigroup (Smith Barney), HSBC, Bank of New York among others to realign business strategy and trading practices in response to customer demand and market environment changes.
Kamal Bali
Kamal Bali joined the Volvo Group in India in April 2014, as Managing Director and a Board member of the company. With an illustrious career spanning over four decades, predominantly in the automotive industry, Kamal has worked for well-known Indian brands and established multinational corporations in India. He has had an insightful experience in the functional areas of sales, marketing and supply chain, before taking over P&L responsibilities in the year 2002.
Karan Bajwa
Karan Bajwa is a business leader with rich experience and expertise in driving transformation across the IT and Telecom sector in India as well as in the Asia Pacific region. Karan is currently the Managing Director of IBM India Pvt. Ltd and the Regional General Manager for India South Asia. In addition, Karan also plays a key role in enabling capabilities across IBM's global missions in India, including research and innovation labs.
Lula Mohanty
Lula Mohanty is General Manager, GBS Asia Pacific. In this role, Lula is responsible for the financial performance of GBS, in addition to setting and delivering on business strategy. In her 20+ years at IBM Lula has undertaken a number of domestic and international responsibilities, led engagements with marquee clients and established successful practices for Global Business Services. She has been at the forefront of the hi-tech industry for IBM, setting up the Application Innovation services and IBM's outsourcing business in the Philippines. Lula is a member of the IBM Chairman's exclusive leadership community responsible for strategy, growth and transformation for the IBM Corporation.
Meenakshi Vajpai
Ms Meenakshi Vajpai has more than 25 years of experience in IT strategy, architecture, core telecom and enterprise IT operations. She has envisioned and led various organisations from diverse sectors in their efforts of organizational transformation through the use of technology spanning internal functions, customer experience as well as innovation for revenue. She has held a number of senior management positions across industries wherein she has driven strategy and execution of new business initiatives. Her initiatives have won her several awards, including CIO 100, Digital transformation Icon and at international forums. At Vodafone Idea, Meenakshi leads IT strategy and policies across all businesses and partners.
Mominul Islam
Mr. Islam is holding the position of Managing Director & CEO of IPDC Finance Limited since January 2012. Under his leadership IPDC has attained a complete transformation of its business and operation by growing its business almost tenfold and reducing the NPL to below 1 percent, the lowest in the market. Mr. Islam has successfully driven a technology led business model for IPDC to cater to underserved segment of the market. IPDC, in association with IBM has built the first ever Blockchain based digital supply chain finance platform in the country. IPDC is also working on the development of AI based retailer and consumer financing platform. Prior to joining IPDC, Mr. Islam worked in American Express Bank (AEB) and Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) with an enriching career in different areas of the Banks in home and abroad. He has done his Bachelors in Business Administration and Masters in Economics with Vice Chancellor Gold Medal for outstanding academic performance. He is also a six sigma.
Ms. Prativa Mohapatra
As we move through the Industrial Revolution 4.0, disruptive forces - socio-economic, technological, political, demographic - are all at play shaping the new world order. As a business & technology professional with more than two decades of experience in IBM/PwC, Prativa has helped many organizations traverse such challenging shifts. Presently, as the Vice President, Sales for IBM India/South Asia, she is responsible for working with organizations to assess, prepare and help them in the adoption of enabling technologies provided through the entire IBM portfolio and offerings. At IBM, she has held several positions spanning across business leadership, technology and consulting. These include Vice President, Cognitive Solutions, VP-Enterprise Applications (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft), DirectorApplication Outsourcing, Director-Consumer Products Industry etc. She has built businesses from ab-initio as well as grown existing business and teams multifold. She has worked extensively across India as well as had assignments in countries in Asia, US, Latin America and Middle-East. In the last couple of years, she has also worked extensively with startups and eco-system players. Praveen Shrikhande
Praveen Shrikhande is an alumnus of IIT Bombay and IIM Bangalore.
He joined Aditya Birla Group over three years ago. He is the Chief Digital Officer of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. and responsible for Digital and IT functions. He was previously Joint President heading the Partner Management, Technology Transformation and Information Security at the Aditya Birla Group. In his earlier stints with Business Process Outsourcing providers like Sutherland Global services and WNS Global Services, he has managed a wide range of technology leadership roles.
Sadashiv Nayak
Sadashiv Nayak is part of the Future Group. Prior to Future group he has worked with Hindustan Unilever and Asian Paints. Sadashiv graduated Engineering from NIT, Surathkal and completed his post-graduation in Business Management from XLRI Jamshedpur. He stays in Mumbai with his wife Radhika and twin sons.
Subram Natarajan
Subram, as the CTO, leads the technology mandate for IBM India/South Asia. Along with a team of Deep Technology experts he drives IBM's Platform conversations around Cloud and Cognitive with Enterprises, ISV's, Developers, and Startups. He is responsible for all technical engagements with key customers in the region in helping them address their IT and Business challenges. In the recent past, he was leading the Industry Solutions team and the client center teams for IBM in India and South Asia. In this role, he helped develop key architectural patterns and drove industry adoption of cutting edge domain specific solutions.
Subram has been with IBM for the past 20+ years serving various roles. Apart from industry solution group, he held various roles in the past. He was the leader for the Technical Sales function of Systems Hardware group where he was responsible for providing innovative hardware solutions to customers. Prior to this he led the Technical computing group and was responsible for the fast-growing segment's business development and sales. In an earlier role, Subram was the Solutions Architect for ASEAN and Asia Pacific division. Until, 2005, he was based out of Beaverton, Oregon, USA, where he led various product development teams for the SAN file system, storage and database. Apart from IBM, his 25+ years of industry experience includes leading various engineering teams with Procter & Gamble and Informix. He holds a master's degree in industrial engineering from McGill University, Canada.
Sunil Bajpai
Sunil Bajpai has spent more than thirty years with the Indian government, with responsibilities that have spanned across engineering, research, operational and policy-making roles. As a senior regulatory official at the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), he led the work on net neutrality rules for India, which received widespread support among the stakeholders. He has also worked on developing new standards for Quality of Service, specifically the benchmark for call drops. In a path-breaking initiative, he is leading the adoption of distributed ledger technology (blockchain) for controlling spam and fraud communications, which is soon to go live and is being watched by regulators and other stakeholders from around the world. He responsibilities at TRAI include Quality of Service, Consumer Affairs and IT. He holds an MS in Design Engineering and an M. Phil (Social Sciences).
T. V. Narendran
T V Narendran is the CEO & MD of Tata Steel Limited. As the CEO & MD, he has overseen the acquisitions of Bhushan Steel Limited (now known as Tata Steel BSL Limited) and the steel business of Usha Martin Limited. Earlier, as the Managing Director, he successfully executed Tata Steel's Greenfield expansion at Kalinganagar. He has over 30 years of experience in the Mining and Metals industry.
Vibha Padalkar
She has been associated with HDFC Life since August 2008. She qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales in 1992. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Ms. Padalkar was recently honoured with the 'Finance Leader of the Year' award at the ET Prime Women Leadership Awards2019. She has also received the 'CA CFO - Insurance Sector' award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, along with being recognised as one of the 'Top 30 most powerful women in business' by Business Today. She was conferred the 'CFO-woman of the year' award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 2011 and for "Excellence in Financial Control, Compliance and Corporate Governance" by IMA, India in 2013.
