To grow dragon fruit in a pot, take  stem or flesh cuttings; stem cuttings can be planted immediately, while flesh cuttings require a few days to callous

The plants have shallow roots and are top-heavy. Pick a large pot with plenty of drainage holes. It should be as wide as it is deep

Use a high-quality potting mix with added sand or perlite for drainage. Dragon fruit plants dislike soggy soil, so good drainage is a must

Place the cutting around the center pole of the pot. Secure the cutting gently with a soft garden tie to help it stay upright as it grows
