The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has extended the deadline to apply for the 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024. Candidates can now submit their applications until November 4, 2024, instead of the earlier deadline of October 18.

In addition to extending the application deadline, the BPSC has also announced an increase in vacancies. Seventy new positions have been added, bringing the total number of available posts from 1,957 to 2,027. These vacancies are spread across various departments of the Bihar government.

Candidates who have already registered for the exam can update their One-Time Registration (OTR) profiles between 19 October and 4 November. However, certain details like name, father’s name, mother’s name, and date of birth cannot be changed. During the same period, candidates will also be able to edit their 70th CCE application forms, except for these specific columns.

Examination Schedule
The BPSC has recently postponed the preliminary examination for the 70th CCE. Initially scheduled for 17 November, the exam will now take place on 13 and 14 December, 2024. An estimated 7 to 8 lakh candidates are expected to take the preliminary exam this year.

Eligibility and Fees
To be eligible for the BPSC 70th CCE, candidates must hold a graduate degree. Post-specific eligibility details can be found in the official notification.

The application fee for general category candidates is Rs. 600, while SC, ST, female candidates, and those from the disabled category in Bihar are required to pay Rs. 150. Additionally, a biometric fee of Rs. 200 applies to each post.
