Tamil-Telugu actor Srikanth named in cocaine drug case, blood samples taken: Report

Tamil and Telugu actor Srikanth, also known as Sriram in Telugu cinema, has found himself at the centre of a drugs investigation, reportedly being brought in for questioning by Chennai police on Monday. This development stems from allegations made by a former AIADMK member, Prasad, who was arrested in connection with a bar brawl and a separate drugs case in Nugambakkam.

According to reports, Prasad, during police interrogation, allegedly confessed to supplying drugs, including cocaine, to actor Srikanth.

News18 Tamil reports indicate that authorities are specifically looking into whether Srikanth purchased one gram of cocaine for Rs 12,000. These claims have led to Srikanth's involvement in what appears to be a widening probe into drug usage within the film industry.

Following Prasad's confession, a special police team investigating the case summoned Srikanth for questioning. As part of the ongoing inquiry, blood samples have reportedly been drawn from the actor to test for the presence of drugs. The course of action against Srikanth will depend heavily on the results of these forensic tests.

It's important to note that, as of the latest reports, the actor has not yet been formally booked or charged in the case, and investigations are ongoing. This is a developing story, with further details anticipated as the police continue their probe.
