Tamannaah Bhatia has recently made headlines for her alleged ‘support’ of Deepika Padukone in the ongoing Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit controversy. However, the actress has now seemed to clear her stand.
Tamannaah has speculated to like a social media video that highlights the challenges women face in professional spaces. In the video, Deepika slammed the reports that claimed that her husband, Ranveer Singh, had funded her film, Chhapaak. The film was notably bankrolled by Deepika.
The post was captioned, “Propaganda she is not falling for: Disrespect, men, sexism, gender pay gap, working overtime, unprofessionalism, misogyny, and double standards.” However, several eagle-eyed fans noticed that Tamannaah had liked the post, with several assuming it as a support to Deepika following her exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit.
However, Tamannaah took to her Instagram Story and clarified the reports and speculations. The actress hinted that news about her supporting Deepika in the Vanga’s Spirit controversy was false.
The actress shared a selfie of herself flaunting a bright smile and penned, “Can Instagram pls figure out how it likes pages on its own? Cause random ppl are making this news and I really have work to do.”

For the unversed, the Deepika and Vanga controversy after reports about the actress quitting the upcoming film, Spirit, swirled around. The reports suggested that the filmmaker had refused to accept her demands, related to fixed working hours, remuneration and other conditions.
However, Sandeep Reddy Vanga took to his X account and released an official statement. Although he didn’t take Deepika’s name in the statement, the filmmaker claimed that the actress leaked the plot of Spirit just because he did not agree to her conditions and dropped her from the film.
The filmmaker has replaced Deepika Padukone with Triptii Dimri in Spirit. The film also stars Prabhas in the the film.
