Tahira Kashyap returns home after breast cancer relapse treatment, says, "Back home and recovering"

Tahira Kashyap, filmmaker and wife of Ayushmann Khurrana, recently shared that her breast cancer has returned after eight years. Following a fresh round of treatment and therapies, she took to social media on Wednesday to update fans that she is now back home.

Tahira took to Instagram on April 9 and shared a photo of her with a sunflower, expressing gratitude for everyone's prayers and love. She also informed that now she is back home and recovering.

She wrote, "Basking in all the love and prayers! They are magical Thank you, thank you, thank you! Back home and recovering. I know some of you who are praying and so many whom I don’t know and yet I receive all your goodness with grace, similarly some of you know me and others might not but I send all my gratitude to all of you. And when such a connection is made which is beyond actual relationship it’s called Humanity which is the highest form of spirituality."

Fans and well-wishers quickly took to the comment section and poured in love and wishes. One fan wrote, "Sunshine girl forever!" On April 7, 2025, filmmaker Tahira Kashyap Khurrana revealed on social media that her breast cancer has relapsed for the second time. She was initially diagnosed in 2018 with stage zero breast cancer — the earliest stage where abnormal cells remain confined to the breast ducts or lobules without spreading to surrounding tissues.
