James Gunn’s upcoming DC movie, Superman trailer, has recently been released, leaving the fans on the edge of their seats. The David Corenswet starrer film’s latest trailer provided a glimpse into new plot details, high-octane action sequences and a better look at Lex Luthor and a lot more.
The 2-minute and 9-second trailer opens with a high-rise building collapsing, with Superman chiming in to save people. The trailer then shows Nicholas Hoult’s character Lex Luthor saying, “Superman, the most powerful being on the planet Earth…” He arrives on Earth and says, “We finally meet… now as planned.”

The trailer then shows Lex Luthor trying to defeat Superman, Guy Gardner, and his other accomplices with an army of his own. Lex The Engineer, who turns her arms into a deadly pair of saws to kill robots, then enters the Fortress of Solitude.
Luthor then threatens to kill Superman, his love interest, Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) and Mr. and Mrs. Kent. He announces in the trailer, “I’ll destroy you, and, of course, that reporter you always do interviews with. Who raised you as a child? I’ll kill them too.”
The trailer then shows a blast in the snow and an injured Superman being taken by the robot army. However, he then makes a dramatic comeback and announces, “No matter what you do to me, Luthor, your plans won’t work.”
The trailer features Superman battling a massive fire-breathing Kaiju, the Hammer of Boravia with laser beams, and huge flying robots. The trailer ends with Superman flying in space, cradling a bizarre, deformed alien baby.
For the unversed, the baby Superman is holding in the trailer is Baby Joey, the son of Metamorpho and Sapphire Stagg. The trailer also teases Metamorpho shooting a blue colored rope-like object, trying to strangle Superman to save his baby.
Superman features an ensemble cast, including Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Edi Gathegi, Terence Rosemore, Anthony Carrigan, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion and María Gabriela de Faría.
The film is expected to revolve around Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent.
Superman (2025) is set to hit the theatres on July 11.
