Businessman and Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband Sunjay Kapur passed away in June following a heart attack. Soon after that, Karisma’s children, his wife Priya Sachdev and his family have been fighting a legal battle over his Rs 30,000 crore worth fortune.
Although Sunjay’s first wife Nandita Mahtani stayed away from the legal dispute, social media revealed an interesting connection between her and Priya’s former husband Vikram Chatwal.
Nandita and Vikram’s friendship
Vikram Chatwal shares a friendly bond with fashion designer Nandita Mahtani, who was Sunjay Kapur’s first wife. Nandita, a popular figure in Bollywood circles, was married to Sunjay between 1996 and 2000. Interestingly, Vikram’s unverified Instagram account, which has a little over 7.5K followers, also follows Priya Kapur’s profile.
The duo follow each other on Instagram. Vikram has also shared photos featuring Nandita, showing that they are cordial friends. One of his posts from 2020 includes Nandita posing with Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora and two other people. The caption read, “Indian Beauties at Arvind Dubash’s 50th..”
This is not the only post. Another one features Nandini and Vikram dining with friends in New York. He wrote in the caption, “Monday Nights at Bodega Negra NYC.....”

For those unversed, Nandita Mahtani is a renowned fashion designer and a popular figure in Bollywood. Meanwhile, Vikram has worked in films as well as modelling.
Sunjay married Nandita in 1996, but the couple got divorced in 2000. They don’t have any children together. Vikram Chatwal and Priya Sachdev were married from 2006 to 2011. The ex-couple has a daughter together- Safira, born in 2007.

Nandita has had an interesting dating history. She has dated several well-known celebrities, including Ranbir Kapoor, Dino Morea and actor Vidyut Jamwal. Nandita and Vidyut even got engaged in 2021, but eventually broke off their engagement two years later.

Following his divorce from Nandita, Sunjay then tied the knot with Karisma Kapoor in 2003 and later welcomed their daughter, Samaira in 2005 and son Kiaan in 2010. However, they separated in 2016 after which he eventually married Priya Sachdev a year later. They have a son named Azarias.
Sunjay Kapur’s estate dispute
As per the latest development, Sunjay Kapur’s children, Samaira (20) and Kiaan (15), through their mother Karisma Kapoor, have moved court against Priya Kapur, seeking a share in their late father’s Rs 30,000 crore estate. They have also accused her of will suppression and forgery.
