Aryan Khan has finally stepped behind the camera—and the internet hasn’t stopped talking since.
His directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, dropped on Netflix and instantly spilled from group chats onto timelines. Adding a sweet bit of family fandom, Suhana Khan has now joined in, sharing the very moment that’s been making everyone chuckle.
On Friday, she reposted a fan edit to her Instagram Stories featuring a brilliantly daft exchange where Raghav Juyal keeps cutting in as Emraan Hashmi tries to speak—before cheekily bursting into Hashmi’s own classic “Kaho Na Kaho” from Murder.
The fan caption nailed the mood: “Every Emraan Hashmi fan can relate to this. One of the best scenes from The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Aryan Khan’s humour is on point.”
Suhana’s reply was all heart and emojis: “my favourite scene ever okay” It’s the kind of sisterly signal boost that makes a show feel even more alive.
The series itself premiered on 18 September after a starry Mumbai screening, where regulars like Farah Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Sujoy Ghosh praised its quick wit and self-aware tone. Soon, the clips started flying: reaction threads, meme-y edits, and a healthy dose of nostalgia for Emraan’s era of earworms.
Written and directed by Aryan Khan, the show is a playful satire that nudges the industry’s quirks without losing affection for the world it’s sending up. It’s led by Lakshya and Sahher Bambba, with a sturdy ensemble—Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Rajat Bedi and Manish Chaudhary—keeping the rhythm snappy.
The cameo list is pure headline bait: Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Rajkummar Rao, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, among others. Early chatter gives Aryan credit for tone and pacing, while Raghav’s timing is getting particular love.
As for Suhana, she’s busy lining up her next big-screen move with King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film features Shah Rukh Khan, Saurabh Shukla, Abhishek Bachchan and Jaideep Ahlawat, with reports hinting at appearances by Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Raghav Juyal, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff (official word still pending).
