Stree 2: Sneak peek into the fun BTS of 'Aayi Nai' with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor

The countdown has begun for the release of Stree 2, now just two weeks away. Fans are eagerly awaiting a return to the Maddock Supernatural Universe, anticipating the same blend of horror-comedy and unforgettable musical numbers that made the first film a hit.

Among the highlights is the sizzling track Aaj Ki Raat by Tamannaah Bhatia, which has already captured hearts. However, it’s the quirky and catchy Aayi Nai that has audiences dancing along.

Released on August 1, 2024, Aayi Nai is a delightful fusion of Bollywood charm and Bhojpuri flair. Maddock Films shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) clip on Instagram, showing the fun the cast and crew had during filming.

The caption read, "@alwaysjani, we Stree-ctly had fun while shooting the song and this crazy BTS is proof! #AayiNai, song out now!..."

Fans were quick to react, with one commenting, "I don’t know why but it’s dammmmn addicted," and another adding, "Mad fun."

The music video features Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor dancing in a picturesque palace garden filled with sunflowers. Dressed in traditional costumes, the pair lip sync to the romantic, upbeat track. In the song, Rajkummar’s character, Vicky, laments Shraddha’s character’s lack of reciprocation, all while being playfully dragged by women in ghagra-cholis.

Sung by Bhojpuri artist Pawan Singh, the song narrates the sorrow of a man waiting in the fields all night for his lover, who never appears. Vicky’s frustration over his unrequited love is palpable, and the music by Sachin-Jigar seamlessly blends Bhojpuri folk with a Bollywood party vibe.

The movie sees Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Shraddha Kapoor reprising their beloved roles. While the first film dealt with the spirit of Stree, Stree 2 introduces a new antagonist, Sarkate, an evil entity responsible for turning Stree into a ghost. The film also features special appearances by Sunita Rajwar and Varun Dhawan as Bhediya.

Stree 2 is produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, with Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande as co-producers. Directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Niren Bhatt, who also penned the screenplays for Munjya and Bhediya, the film promises to deliver a fresh and thrilling experience.

Scheduled for release on August 15, Stree 2 is set to be a blockbuster, combining the perfect mix of horror, comedy, and captivating music. Fans are undoubtedly in for a treat as they return to the eerie yet entertaining world of Stree.
