In an exclusive conversation with MoneyControl, Shabana Azmi opened up about the kind of conversations that take place during family meals, offering a delightful glimpse into her personal life.
When asked about the usual discussions that unfold at the dinner or lunch table, Shabana Azmi admitted that food plays a central role in their family conversations.
"It's only about food, abhi lunch khaaya, kitta khaa liya, kitta khaaliya ab fir shuru hojaajenge what's for dinner? We are obsessed with food," she shared with a laugh.
This light-hearted admission reveals just how much the family enjoys discussing their next meal, creating a sense of fun and bonding around food.
However, Shabana also mentioned that while food often takes centre stage, the family does engage in more intellectual debates as well. "Kabhi kabhi hota hai definately," she said, acknowledging that occasionally deeper conversations do occur.
She continued by highlighting how her daughter Zoya, known for her strong opinions, often brings a dynamic energy to these discussions. "Zoya has very fierce opinions on everything. So she and her father's spar quite a lot," she explained.
"It's always very interesting. It's never tense or I mean it's what families do, is that kind of thing," she added, emphasising the warmth and ease that defines her family dynamics.
On the work front, Shabana Azmi's most recent appearance was in the crime drama series Dabba Cartel, which is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
