Selena Gomez votes in US Presidential Elections ahead of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place premiere

In the sequel series, Selena will return to her role as Alex Russo, taking on not just a guest star position but also serving as an executive producer.

Selena Gomez made sure to perform her civic duties as she cast her vote ahead of attending the premiere of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, sequel to the the 2007 series Wizards of Waverly Place.

On Monday evening, before hitting the red carpet of the premiere of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre, the singer and actress Selena Gomez made a stop at a ballot box to submit her 2024 election ballot, sharing a video of the same on her Instagram story to inspire fans to vote early.

The Only Murders in the Building star shared the image with a blue heart emoji and added the caption, “We can’t go to the premiere without voting!” She urged her fans to do the same, adding, “It’s time to go vote.”

The Calm Down singer also shared glimpses from the premiere night on Instagram, along with the caption, "Bringing back my childhood has been such a beautiful gift.. I hope you all can enjoy this beautiful project that was made with so much love. PS. Our pilot show used to be called something else," with a purple heart and magic wand emojis.

At the premiere, Selena reunited with her former Wizards of Waverly Place co-star David Henrie, and posed with Janice LeAnn Brown, a fresh addition to the cast. In this sequel to the beloved series, Selena returns as Alex Russo, not only appearing as a guest star but also stepping into a new role as executive producer. The first episode premiered on October 29 on Disney Channel, following which the first four episodes are now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows Justin's magical journey after the original series, where he learned about magic from their father while dealing with various challenges alongside his sister, Alex. The original show focused on a family wizard competition to determine which of the Russo siblings would retain their magic into adulthood.

Meanwhile, Former President Donald Trump is set to face Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming US presidential elections on November 5.
