Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently shared her experience of embracing solitude and the power of silence. In a heartfelt post on Instagram Stories, she revealed that she had embarked on a "Silence Sadhna" for three days, during which she disconnected from her phone and communication, choosing only her own company.
She posted a picture of a card reading "Silence" and captioned it with, “Three days in silence. No phone. No communication. Just me for company."
In her message, Samantha reflected on how challenging it can be to be alone with ourselves in today’s world, but she also expressed how rewarding the experience was. “Somehow being alone with ourselves has become one of the scariest things. Would I do it again? A million times, yes. Would I recommend you try it? A million times, yes," she wrote, encouraging her followers to try the same.
She even conducted a poll among her followers, with 88% of them expressing an interest in trying silence as well. Last month, the actress also shared that meditation has become a crucial part of her daily routine.
In a separate Instagram post, she shared a video of herself meditating and emphasized the importance of daily practice. “Meditation. If there’s one thing I wish all of you would try, it’s this. Just 15 minutes of meditation every day — in whatever way works for you,” she wrote. She suggested sitting in silence, focusing on breath, or following a guided meditation, stressing that there’s no right or wrong approach, just the simple act of tuning in.
For Samantha, meditation has become a grounding practice. "Meditation has become my anchor — a way to return to the ocean of calm and peace that’s always within," she explained. No matter how chaotic life gets, she knows she can always find peace within herself. She encouraged her followers to try meditation for even just a day, and to “watch your thoughts and let them pass.”
