A recent video from Aadar Jain's wedding has gone viral, sparking speculation and debate over an alleged moment between Bollywood veteran Neetu Kapoor and her granddaughter, Samara Sahni. The clip, which surfaced online, showed the three generations—Neetu Kapoor, her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and her granddaughter Samara—posing together at the red carpet.

In the video it looked as though Samara had “pushed” her grandmother Neetu Kapoor aside.

Addressing the controversy, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni dismissed the claims, calling them exaggerated and taken out of context.
The incident took place at the wedding of Riddhima’s cousin, actor Aadar Jain, and Alekha Advani in Mumbai. As the Kapoor family posed for pictures, a moment of physical adjustment by Samara was interpreted by some netizens as a dismissive push directed at her grandmother, Neetu Kapoor.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni told HT that her daughter was just trying to pose. “The whole thing got blown out of proportion. The poor child was only trying to pose. She wasn’t upset.”

According to Riddhima, Samara was merely adjusting her posture for the paparazzi and did not intend any disrespect towards her grandmother.

“She was very excited, so much so that in the car she kept saying, ‘Oh my God, I’m sure there are gonna be photographers and I’m gonna pose like this and that’,” Riddhima elaborated. “And because the paparazzi were asking us to come together, she just wanted to pose on her own. She didn’t push her nani.”

Samara’s Reaction to the Online Backlash

The young teenager was reportedly baffled by the online chatter. According to her mother, Samara was confused about the backlash and even questioned what she had supposedly done wrong.

“She was like, ‘When did I push her? I was trying to pose myself. I was just trying to extend my arm and get comfortable. I was posing. I never pushed anyone’,” Riddhima told the publication.
As the granddaughter of legendary actor Neetu Kapoor and the great-granddaughter of Bollywood icon Raj Kapoor, Samara Sahni has grown up in the limelight. However, her recent experiences have made her more conscious of how she is perceived online.

“Kids these days are more aware about all these things. There’s so much exposure. However, my mother and I chat with her (Samara) every single day about it—the pros, cons, good, bad, ugly, so that it doesn’t affect her,” Riddhima revealed.

This isn’t the first time Samara has faced social media scrutiny. Reflecting on a previous incident where her playful behavior at the airport was criticized, she told her mother, “The last time I was being goofy then also they had a problem and now when I’m not doing anything they again have a problem!”
