Sandeep Reddy Vanga has released the official announcement video of his upcoming film Spirit, featuring Prabhas in the lead role. The announcement also confirmed that Vivek Oberoi has joined the cast and will be playing the antagonist.
Sharing his excitement on social media, Vivek expressed that he is “super kicked” to be part of the ambitious project.
Reacting to the video, he wrote, “One bad habit is all it takes,” and added, “#OneBadHabit is all it takes to get you #inspiritmode. And what a powerful ‘SOUND-STORY’ that was! Happy Birthday to the Rebel Star, #Prabhas! Hoping the surprise lifted your spirits! Super kicked about bringing this action to life with your unmatched magic @imvangasandeep!”
The buzz around Spirit has been growing ever since the announcement video dropped on Prabhas’ 46th birthday on October 23, 2025.
The video didn’t show visuals but presented a gripping sound-driven narrative, similar to Vanga’s style in Animal. It gave fans a glimpse of what’s to come and introduced the primary cast.
From the audio teaser, it seems Prabhas plays an IPS officer who is currently in prison. The story begins with a voice-over by Prakash Raj, who appears to be portraying the Superintendent of Police. His character instructs Prabhas’ character to walk quickly and wear the prison uniform since he’s on remand.
In one striking moment, Prabhas says in his signature intense tone, “Mr. Superintendent, bachpan se meri ek buri aadat hai.” When Prakash Raj asks, “What?”, Prabhas replies, “Right from childhood, I have just one bad habit.” The scene then transitions into the title reveal — Spirit.
Along with Prabhas and Vivek Oberoi, the film stars Triptii Dimri as the female lead, with Prakash Raj and Kanchana in important supporting roles.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Spirit is co-produced by his brother Pranay Reddy Vanga, and Bhushan Kumar. It is one of the most anticipated action dramas of the coming years and promises to showcase Prabhas in a powerful new avatar.
