The team of Ram Charan’s upcoming Telugu film Peddi was set to begin shooting in New Delhi, but the makers have now announced that the filming schedule has been changed.
According to a report by ETimes, the shoot had to be postponed following the recent blast near the Red Fort. The team had secured permission to film inside the Red Fort premises and nearby areas on November 17, but the plan has now been revised.
A source familiar with the arrangements revealed, “Some patchwork for Ram Charan’s upcoming project was to be completed, for which the team had permission to shoot within the premises of the Red Fort and its surrounding areas on November 17.” However, the schedule has been altered due to the current situation.
Another insider confirmed that the team also had bookings for November 15 and 16, which have now been cancelled as well.
Reports further suggest that Rashmika Mandanna, who was supposed to film nearby for Cocktail 2 alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, has also postponed her shoot in Delhi due to security concerns following the blast.
Similarly, the trailer launch of Ranveer Singh’s Dhuramdhar, which was originally planned for November 12, was also delayed.
The incident that led to these changes was a tragic car blast near the Red Fort Metro station earlier this week, which claimed at least 13 lives and left 21 others injured, putting the national capital on high alert.

Meanwhile, the makers of Peddi recently released the film’s first single, Chikiri, on November 7, which became an instant hit. As per 123Telugu, the second song from the film is expected to drop on December 31.
Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is set to hit theatres on March 27, 2026.
