Superstar Rajinikanth has arrived in Kerala’s Attapada for the shooting of his most awaited film Jailer 2.

The actor will be filming in Kerala for around 20 days, marking the second schedule of the movie. The shoot follows an earlier schedule in Chennai, which kicked off in March.

A video showing Rajinikanth being warmly welcomed by the hotel staff has quickly gone viral, showcasing the immense fanfare that follows the legendary actor wherever he goes.

Rajinikanth’s arrival in Kerala was met with enthusiastic fans, many of whom waited patiently to catch a glimpse of their idol.

A photo also surfaced on social media of the actor greeting his supporters from inside his car, smiling and waving at the crowd. His presence continues to draw massive attention, as evidenced by the viral video of the hotel staff greeting him with a flower garland and a rose bouquet at the hotel’s entrance.

At the airport, Rajinikanth revealed that he would be filming for Jailer 2 in Kerala for around 20 days, with eager fans expected to flock to the shooting locations in hopes of meeting him. The buzz surrounding the film has only increased since the release of the promo on January 14.

While the promo didn’t reveal many specifics about the film, it confirmed the return of the retired jailer, Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, a character played by Rajinikanth.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer was a massive success upon its release in 2023, grossing over ₹600 crore at the box office. It became the second highest-grossing film in Rajinikanth’s illustrious career, further cementing his status as one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Jailer 2 and Rajinikanth’s return to the iconic role that has become synonymous with his larger-than-life persona.
