Pawandeep Rajan moves hospital staff with his powerful voice after suffering multiple limb fractures in road accident

Pawandeep Rajan, the talented winner of Indian Idol 12, recently met with a major road accident in Uttar Pradesh that left him with multiple fractures and a brain injury. Despite the severity of the incident, Pawandeep has shown remarkable resilience and strength — not only in recovery but also through his music.

The accident occurred around 2:30 AM near Moradabad on May 5, when Pawandeep's SUV collided with a stationary canter truck. According to police reports, the truck had broken down and was parked by the roadside. Pawandeep was en route to Delhi at the time. Also injured in the crash were the car’s driver Rahul Singh and a fellow passenger, Ajay Mehra. All three were first taken to a local hospital by bystanders and later referred to a higher medical facility for advanced treatment.

Pawandeep, 28, underwent several surgeries, including an intense eight-hour-long operation. While his recovery will take time, the singer is already making headlines for a heartwarming moment shared from his hospital bed.

A viral video, originally posted by his Indian Idol co-contestant Sayli Kamble, shows Pawandeep singing the soulful song Duaa from the film Shanghai. Dressed in a hospital gown with medical equipment attached to his hand, the singer’s voice remained as powerful as ever. Text on the video read, “Bhai humara strong hai bahut” and “Get well soon.”

The moving performance has left hospital staff and fans deeply touched. A nurse reportedly said, “We didn’t expect someone in such pain to sing with so much emotion and strength. It gave all of us goosebumps.”
